Description
Unusual collection plate in iron earth commemorating the creation of the société de tir du vermandois in saint-quentin in the aisne (03, france) in 1903. It was a shooting school to prepare students for the use of weapons of war. Personalized plate dating from the 1st world war. Stamped "terre de fer ivoire" and gien stamp from the end of the 19th, early 20th. Blue decoration, coat of arms of vermandois on the left and coat of arms of the city of saint-quentin on the right. No accidents, fresh décor. A plug defect, enameled, original. Bears the latin maxim "si vis pacem para bellum" Exceptional and collector's item for militaria lovers. 26.5 cm in diameter.
