Pair of large decorative plates made of Charolles earthenware, entirely hand-painted, as indicated on the reverse. Handcrafted work from the 1950s–1960s. Each plate features a different central decoration: – one with a winged mythical creature, – the other with two perched birds, framed by a floral border also hand-painted. The variations in brushwork and colours confirm a manual creation, far from industrial production: each piece is unique. Scalloped edges with a blue trim. Very beautiful decorative effect, ideal for wall decoration or placed on a piece of furniture. In very good condition. Dimensions visible in the photos. Sold as a pair. Fast and careful shipping.
