Pair of Renaissance style folding armchairs, early 20th century Superb pair of folding armchairs known as "à la Savonarole", in carved wood, decorated with lion heads on the armrests and claws on the ends of the legs. The richly worked backrest features floral and geometric motifs in the spirit of the Italian Renaissance. The X-shaped structure allows them to be folded easily, while maintaining a stable and comfortable seat. Good general condition. Patina of time. Folding and solid models.
