Pair of Dagobert walnut armchairs, medieval style – late 19th century

Pair of carved walnut armchairs, featuring scrolled armrests decorated with grotesque faces, volutes and foliage, integrated into the upper backrests. The backrests are topped with scrolls carved with leaves and connected by an ornate band, topped with a grimacing face surrounded by plant motifs. The armchairs rest on an X-shaped base, reinforced by spacers for stability. Inspired by King Dagobert's throne, these seats evoke the aesthetics of antique furniture with medieval influences. Elegant curved structure and chiseled ornaments for remarkable authenticity and presence. Period: late 19th century. Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
