Lamp sculpture by Max Le Verrier

Sculpture lamp named "rain" by max le verrier. Table lamp in cast iron art with green patina depicting a monkey carrying a luminous umbrella on an octagonal base in black marble. Very beautiful rare piece and in very good condition. Max le verrier found his model at the Jardin des Plantes in Paris. The monkey answered to the pretty name of "boubou" and held the pose in exchange for bananas. A true friendship was born between boubou and the sculptor. Dimensions: height: 46 cm. Diameter: 32 cm.
