Thonet armchair with bent wood and caning – bistro model

Elegant antique armchair signed Thonet, made in Vienna, emblematic of the bent wood craftsmanship developed in the late 19th century. This rare model, of the cabriolet type, is distinguished by its fluid and organic lines, characteristic of old Thonet productions. Its double-arched backrest and enveloping armrests give it a particularly balanced and comfortable silhouette, both light and structured. The seat is made of traditional caning, preserved in its original state with a beautiful patina. The bent beech structure has a warm and deep hue, revealing the authentic charm of the piece. The original marking "Thonet Wien" still visible under the seat attests to its authenticity and Viennese manufacture.
