Two superb bentwood armchairs by Jacob & Joseph Kohn circa 1880. This is probably model no. 18. The lines of this armchair, both elegant and refined, make it a classic in the history of design. Both armchairs have armrests. Composed of a round seat in sturdy cane, this authentic and timeless armchair rests on flared legs. Both armchairs still have the stamp "Jacob & Josef Kohn, Wien" under the seat. J&J Kohn: Jacob & Josef Kohn was the first competitor of the Thonet firm in the early 1900s. The firm hired the avant-garde Viennese architects Josef Hoffmann, Sieget and Moser to create attractive modern furniture for a wealthy clientele. With a varnished finish, they are in excellent condition. They are stable, solid, robust, clean and immediately usable. In a beautiful uniform patina on both armchairs, only the cane differs in color. One of the two is lighter (see photos) Total height: 96 cm. Backrest height: 49 cm. Seat height: 48 cm. Max width: 61 cm. Max depth: approximately 65 cm. Seat diameter: 48 cm. Very careful delivery. A question about this article? Want to discover my new products? Visit my online store Zazoubroc!
