Thonet armchair no. 56

Very pretty and authentic Thonet armchair No. 56 in curved wood and cane seat, circa 1900. Note numerous marks of time and use consistent with its era, notably on the wooden structure (see photos). Stamped Thonet Austria under the seat (wood engraving and paper label). Nice patina and original seat. Missing rush on the seat surround, firm and not stretched, no tears. The wooden structure has numerous holes but the armchair has been treated against wood-eating insects. Total height 92cm. Seat: H47 cm, W44 cm, D47 cm. Backrest: H45.5 cm. W44 cm. L between armrests 60cm.
