This set of two Arca folding chairs was designed by Gigi Sabadin for Crassevig and made in Italy in 1974. A distinctive example of Italian mid-century design, the chairs combine a simple folding structure with natural wood and rattan. The Arca chair was awarded an Honourable Mention at the 1979 Compasso d’Oro, recognizing its design and functionality. The model has been out of production for over 35 years, making this pair a rare and collectible example of Gigi Sabadin’s work. With their practical folding construction and timeless materials, the Arca chairs work beautifully in both vintage and contemporary interiors.
