Magnificent set of 3 french antique bronze three light acanthus wall sconce.dating from the early 1900s, these sconces were originally crafted as candle sconces but have been electrified at some point in their long history, blending their timeless charm with modern functionality. The intricately detailed scrolled acanthus leaf backplates exude classic french sophistication. From each backplate, three offset scrolling arms extend, leading to delicately crafted, leaf-shaped candle drip holders. The candle drips have been thoughtfully updated with new beige acrylic drips, complementing their antique aesthetic. This set is particularly unique, featuring two right-facing sconces and one left-facing sconce, offering versatility in arrangement and display. The sconces are wired with french braided twin core wiring and take 2 small screws in e14 bulbs each. Some of the braid on the wire is frayed but the wire is still intact.the sconces are in good vintage condition, showcasing a rich, deep time-worn patina that adds character and charm. They feature marks consistent with age and use, which are to be expected in vintage pieces. Each sconce is designed with two fixing holes—one at the top and one at the bottom—for secure wall mounting after wiring. Please note that some of the braid on the wire is frayed, but the wire itself remains intact. Fittings are not included.
