Very large 3-light wall sconces, dating from the early 1900s. Originally designed for candles, they have been electrified at some point in their long history, allowing them to bring both beauty and functionality to any space. Crafted with intricate acanthus leaf detailing, the sconces face in opposite directions, creating a balanced yet dynamic presence. Their gracefully intertwining arms add depth and movement, while the individually styled branches, positioned at varying heights, provide a sense of uniqueness despite being a matching pair.the candleholders retain their original aged card drips, showing signs of time-worn character, particularly around the tops, enhancing their antique appeal. The sconces are wired with french twin core wiring and take 3 small screws in e14 bulbs each.the sconces are in good antique condition with a deep time worn patina and marks to be expected. They have been cleaned but not polished so you can decide on their finish. The candle drips have age related wear especially at the tops. There is a horizontal bar with hanging hole on the back for hanging after wiring. Wall fittings not included.
