I am selling an authentic antique lithograph from the 19th century, part of the series: "Paris and its surroundings" The work depicts an elegant scene of a ball and promenade at the Parc d'Asnières, a popular entertainment venue for Parisians in the 19th century. Title visible at the bottom: "Parc d'Asnières – Orchestra and ballroom" Origin mentions present on the lithograph: * On the left: "A. Provost del. Et lith." * On the right: "Paris, imp. Auguste Bry, 114 rue du Bac" This work was drawn and lithographed by Auguste Provost, an artist active in Paris in the mid-19th century. The printing was done by Auguste Bry, a well-known Parisian printer of the time. Dimensions with frame: 57 X 40 cm. ✔️ Historical and decorative Parisian subject. ✔️ Richly ornamented antique frame. ✔️ Under glass. ✔️ Very beautiful piece for decoration or collection. The whole has a superb old charm with a lovely period patina. Some signs of age may be visible, consistent with the work's antiquity. Ideal for lovers of antique art, vintage decoration, Haussmannian interiors, or collections on old Paris. Hand delivery preferred due to fragility, Paris valley of Chevreuse. Please feel free to contact me for more information or additional photos.
