Oil painting on canvas. North Italian school of the 18th century. The landscape, situated on the banks of a wide river, features in the centre a few figures of peasants busy picking fruit from a tree: a young girl holds the ladder while the boy cuts a bunch; to the left, another couple places the harvested fruit into a tub. All around, a vast green countryside and a few farms. Restored and re-stretched, the painting is presented in a period frame.
