1980s “Modus” Desk chair by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno, Italy

A lovely desk chair designed by Osvaldo Borsani and manufactured by Tecno in Italy around 1980. The piece has a black and grey metal base in a nice curved shape, holding the bright red plastic seat with black armrests. This all creates a very nice harmonious design and eye-catching modern appeal! The use of plastic and bright colours gives a unique touch to a design that is otherwise a typical example of the mid-century Italian era. A really nice find with an excellent seating comfort! The twist system of the base allows the height to be adjusted from 75 to 82 cm. Marked TECNO on the frame underneath the base, as shown in photos. The piece remains in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. The base and shell are all free of damages and cracks and it's in excellent working condition!
