This highly desirable early edition features an imposing, beautifully figured thermoformed Brazilian rosewood (Palissandro) plywood shell paired with its original black bovine leather upholstery. It stands on the rare, early-production 4-spoke cast metal base, making it a prime model of Italian rationalist industrial design. Very good Vintage Condition with Authentic Patina. The item has been cautiously restored by our team. This piece is in very good structural condition. The original bovine leather displays a gorgeous, gentle patina with only minor, superficial signs of time, free of tears, deep cracks, or cuts. The premium rosewood shell retains its original finish, showcasing a striking, high-contrast wood grain with no missing veneer or deep scratches. The highly coveted early 4-spoke cast aluminum base and central column exhibit a natural, unpolished vintage oxidation (bloom) consistent with its 60-year history (can be polished upon request).
