Studio ceramic wall plaque by Gerhard Liebenthron. Gerhard Liebenthron, born in Neustrelitz in 1925, studied at the North German Art Academy in Bremen from 1948 to 1951. He established his own workshop in Bremen in 1952 and participated in numerous national and international exhibitions from 1955 onwards. Liebenthron passed away in Bremen in 2005. This piece is from the design period of 1980 to 1989 and was produced in 1983 in Germany. The piece includes an attribution mark. It is in very good condition with light wear consistent with age and use, a patina consistent with age, small nicks at one corner, and rubbing. Dimensions: Width: 9 cm, Depth: 3 cm, Height: 28 cm.
