Renaissance period centre table in walnut

Superb rare Renaissance period table in French walnut from the late 16th century / early 17th century. A very beautiful table that can serve as a display table or a desk since it has a height below the apron of 65 cm. Very nice top with its carved frieze. The apron is adorned with turned feet at the corners. Additionally, the table features a superb carved frieze where we can find cherubs, foliage, birds, and sculpted heads. It rests on a base with carved feet connected by a carved wooden stretcher. It stands on 7 carved columns. Magnificent patina and in superb condition. The table underwent restoration in the 19th century.
