Centre table in carved walnut – Neo-Renaissance style – 19th century Beautiful centre table in walnut, in Neo-Renaissance style, featuring particularly decorative architecture. The base consists of two significant curved supports adorned on the front with sculpted lion head masks, resting on moulded feet. They are joined by a low stretcher embellished with an elegant gallery of turned balusters. The rectangular top has slightly cut corners and appears to be made of two parts, likely allowing for its opening or extension. The simply moulded apron highlights the beautiful grain and warm patina of the wood. A characterful piece, typical of the historicist taste of the second half of the 19th century, which can be used as a games table, a salon table, or a centre table. Period: 19th century, probably the second half. Style: Neo-Renaissance / Henri II. Material: walnut and turned and sculpted wood. Decor: lion head masks, turned balusters, scrolls, and mouldings. Dimensions: H. 75 × W. 105 × D. 74 cm. Beautiful old patina. Condition consistent with age, with small marks and visible wear as shown in the photographs.
