Chesterfield buttoned conversation sofa Regency

We are delighted to offer for sale this extremely rare original Regency conversation sofa from around 1810-1820, known as a "Tête à Tête, " upholstered in salmon-coloured velvet with Chesterfield buttoning throughout. This piece from the Regency period is a rare collectible that would have been used in a library or office for literature and conversation. It is small and low, and the height can be increased by adding porcelain casters. The item has been cleaned, waxed, and polished from top to bottom, with a patina related to age and use, including normal marks expected for a second-hand piece of furniture. The dimensions are: height 66 cm, width 110.5 cm, depth 72.5 cm, seat height 26 cm. It is recommended to protect the leather from prolonged exposure to sunlight and to wax regularly to preserve its condition.
