Mahogany Chiffonnière Commode, Louis XVI style – Mid 20th century

Small louis XVI style mahogany chest of drawers topped with green estours marble with a groove and opening with six drawers. The latter have a knockout facade inlaid with molded brass rods. They form a frame surrounding the falling louis XVI style pull handles fitted to each of these drawers. They also have a working lock with threaded entry. On each side the uprights are inlaid with three large grooves trimmed with brass. This piece of furniture has a low crossbar with upper brass molding and rests on two front top legs with a brass collar at the top. ******** period: mid-20th century excellent condition.
