Scandinavian Wooden Candleholders, Set of 7

A decorative set of seven wooden candleholders of varying heights and individually designed, turned shapes. Each has its own sculptural silhouette—ranging from simple, geometric profiles to more elaborate compositions featuring spherical, cup-shaped, and ring-shaped elements. A defining feature of this type of candleholder is the use of turning as the primary method of shaping the form, giving the pieces an almost sculptural character.  The candleholders are crafted from natural wood in warm shades of honey, ochre, and brown. The visible wood grain, color variations, and signs of aging emphasize their individual character. The variation in height allows them to be arranged in a group with a highly painterly, rhythmic form—similar sets of turned wooden candlesticks are characteristic of Mid-Century Scandinavian decorative design. Preserved in original condition. The height of the candlesticks varies from 22 cm to 9.5 cm - the diameter of the base about 7 cm - 3.7 cm.
