Vintage carved and polished stone box, pumpkin vintage craft 1980-1990

Charming decorative box made of soapstone/natural stone, sculpted and polished, featuring a stylised pumpkin with its lid. Possibly Asian work from the late 20th century, 1970-1990. The stone displays beautiful natural shades ranging from cream beige to golden honey with brown veins and speckles, and a carefully polished surface. The bottom bears a partially erased engraving, including three "III" marks accompanied by an almost entirely faded signature. Total height with lid is 13cm, height of the body alone is 9cm, maximum diameter is approximately 14 to 15cm. Overall in very good condition. Only a few light superficial marks from time and use are noted, which are discreet.
