Pair of bookends, Art Deco fireplace decoration in antique marble from the 1920s-1930s.

Elegant pair of cassolettes/fireplace decor or Art Deco bookends in marble, French craftsmanship from around 1920-1930. Architecturally composed, combining beautifully veined grey marble with beige marble, resting on a black base, the whole is very graphic in Art Deco style. The rectangular blocks are hollow at the top and rest on four small feet. Overall good condition with some signs of wear and small localized chips on the bases and feet.
