Dutch sailor's trunk 18th century

A fantastic captain's trunk, probably of dutch origin, made of teak and inlaid with brass. These items are associated with dutch craftsmanship of the time and were often made in their colonies in indonesia for the captains and officers of merchant ships that traded in these areas. It is in very good condition even if one of the side handles is broken. This can probably be soldered or even glued. Another small handle is missing from the small draw at the bottom right. Other than that it is in excellent condition. It is very heavy, about 40 kilos and measures 92 cm wide by 54 cm high and 41 cm deep.
