Period mahogany veneered secretary

We present to you an antique piece of furniture covered in mahogany veneer with a beautiful grain. It is topped with a green marble surface. The whole dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. This secretary consists of a double-door cabinet with drawers and a movable top that conceals the interior, which is flush with the rest, as well as a set of small drawers and a drawer beneath the cornice. The inner side of the top is lined with green leather. The brass fittings complete the ensemble. The presented secretary has been renovated. It has been finished, in accordance with conservation guidelines, in shellac, prepared and applied using traditional techniques. There are vertical traces of cracks on both doors.
