Terrestrial globe by Lebègue - 19th century

Stunning globe terrestrial Designed by Lebègue & Cie Brussels. Very beautiful model featuring a superb cast iron base with three masks and ending with lion's paws. Very beautiful terrestrial globe in superb condition. No pock marks. We can see very beautiful colours in tobacco tones. The globe was most likely placed in a library or smoking room. Some signs of wear, but really minimal. It is rare to find a 19th-century globe in such good condition. The presence of the Cape Colony on the globe indicates that it is from the 19th century.
