Louis XV style matrimonial bed, dating from the 1940s and made in Italy. The structure is characterised by elements typical of 18th-century artistic craftsmanship and is made of finely carved wood, lacquered in an ivory shade and enriched with golden details. Hand-painted medallions with delicate floral patterns are present on both the headboard and the foot of the bed. The bed features sinuous, rounded shapes and rich openwork sculptures that fully evoke the Louis XV style. The structure is sound, although there are signs of age and use, particularly on the decorations or the gilded parts.
