Signed raku ceramic mask, on wooden base – Expressive sculpture 28 cm

Contemporary raku ceramic sculpture representing a tilted, expressive and highly textured face, mounted on a turned wooden base. The whole measures 28 cm in height, with a single mask measuring 16 cm. The head, tilted to the left, gives the piece a theatrical dynamic and a certain melancholy. The colors, bold but nuanced (deep blue, coral red, golden beige, matte black), emphasize the reliefs of the face and the intensity of the half-closed gaze. The work is signed on the back, using the same incised monogram as the other pieces in this series, without formal identification of the artist. The work of the material, mixing shiny flashes and raw areas, is typical of contemporary raku. Good general condition, without fragility or shine. A piece with a strong character, perfectly suited to a presentation isolated or in series with other works by the same artist.
