Expressive sculpted head in patinated terracotta on wooden base, 14 cm

Small contemporary sculpture representing a head modeled in terracotta, with a dark patina with copper highlights. The deliberately raw and expressive modeling evokes primitive art while maintaining a contemporary approach. The elongated face, with its intense gaze, is mounted on a brass rod fixed to a turned light wood base. Total height 14 cm, head alone approx. 6 cm. The patina presents irregularities which contribute to the artisanal character of the piece. Good general condition, slight workshop marks visible. Unsigned piece, probably unique or from a very confidential production.
