“116” Dining chairs by Wim Rietveld for Gispen, Netherlands, 1950

A lovely dining chair, model “116”, designed by wim rietveld and manufactured by gispen in the netherlands around 1950. It has a round plywooden seat and back on tubular grey metal frame. This combines into a nice modern style with an excellent seating comfort. They can be nicely combined to a dining room interior or as side chairs to add a decorative touch to the decor. A wonderful find of mid-century dutch design! Sold individually. The price is per chair. Each chair remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. The frame is in really nice condition, there are some tiny scratches on the seating and backrest as shown in the pictures.
