German Mid-Century chair SE 66 by Egon Eiermann for Wilde + Spieth, 1950s

Very rare vintage chair design from the series of tubular spring chairs in steel by Egon Eiermann. A rare collector's item. This chair combines the spring mechanism of the backrest in a static work chair, bridging the gap between the multifunctional SE 68 chair and the swivel office chair SE 40. The backrest features a skeletal structure that gives it lightness and elegance. The spring backrest adds comfort. It has a simple four-legged frame in chrome tubular steel and an original dark plastic mesh covering. Marked on the screw and underneath the chair. Good condition with signs of wear and patina.
