A unique and distinctive piece of Italian design furniture from the manufacturer Voltan Industria Mobili - Marbella, combining geometric shapes inspired by Art Deco with the elegance of black lacquered surfaces and richly veined root wood. The most striking feature of the secretary desk is its almost monolithic architectural design: when closed, it presents itself as a sculptural and streamlined black form, which, thanks to the beveled top and the warm, amber hue of the root wood, becomes a true eye-catcher. The contrast between the black and the highly decorative and mirrored wood grain accentuates the distinctly exclusive and luxurious character of the Italian piece. Behind the pivoting upper panel is an interior practically divided with shelves and two small drawers with root wood fronts. The pivoting upper panel can also serve as a generous work surface. The lower part of the piece consists of four wide drawers, whose fronts are finished with a continuous and symmetrically arranged root wood veneer, showcasing a particularly rich grain. The black interior, revealed when the drawers are pulled out, further emphasizes the sophisticated contrast. The piece is not only decorative but also bears marks attesting to its origin: the inscription "Italy" appears on the back, and "Marbella S.p.A." is engraved on the bottom of the drawers.
