Lidokov Space Age Brass and Opaline Glass Floor Lamp, 1960s

Original Mid-Century Modern floor lamp by Lidokov, manufactured in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s. The lamp features a refined and highly recognizable Space Age composition, combining a slender brass-plated metal stem, contrasting black lacquered metal elements and a generously proportioned opaline glass dome shade. The softly rounded mushroom-shaped diffuser gives the lamp a sculptural presence while distributing a warm, diffused light throughout the surrounding space. Its combination of opaline glass, polished brass tones and black detailing creates an elegant contrast characteristic of sophisticated European lighting from the 1960s. The minimalist vertical profile allows the lamp to work particularly well beside a lounge chair, sofa or reading area without visually dominating the interior.
