Sculptural Space Age floor lamp produced by Lidokov in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s. The lamp features a beautifully proportioned opaline glass dome supported by a brass-plated metal structure with contrasting black lacquered details. Its rounded mushroom silhouette and combination of opaline glass, brass and black finishes capture the optimistic Space Age aesthetic of postwar Czechoslovak design. The large opaline glass shade softly diffuses the light, creating a warm and atmospheric glow. At 89 cm (35.04 in) high, this versatile piece can be used as a low floor lamp, statement table lamp, bedside lamp or ambient light alongside a sofa or lounge chair. The brass-plated elements have been carefully repolished while retaining minor traces of age that preserve the lamp’s authentic vintage character. The electrical system has been renewed and the lamp is in full working condition.
