Original and unique work created in 1989 and signed by the artist. Purchased from the artist in 2000. Painting on paper collage on canvas. Biography of Marylise Reilly-Fajal: Studies at the École des Beaux-Arts de Montparnasse, Paris, 1978-1985 – 3 hours a day, 2nd prize at the Paris Art Competition 1982. Studies at the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Paris – 3 years (Printmaking with Courtin). Copyist at the Louvre Museum – Copied 15 paintings over 3 years (Rembrandt, Chardin, Le Lorrain, etc.). Engaged as a draughtsman for 3 months at the Louvre Museum – Created 300 ink drawings of Roman and Greek vases – Published the book "Grammar of Styles and Forms". Collaborated with archaeologists from the Collège de France by creating drawings. Studied and obtained degrees at the University of Sorbonne, Paris (Master's in French/English – Master's in Visual Arts). Numerous exhibitions in Paris between 1982 and 1990: Watercolour Painting Salon, Grand Palais, Pavillon Baltard, Syrian Cultural Centre (1986). Invited to Damascus, Syria, by the French Cultural Centre and the Syrian Ministry of Culture (April 1985). First international female artist to exhibit in Syria. One-month stay: lectures and exhibition of watercolours created on site. Exhibitions in Switzerland, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France (1886-1994). Her works are in private collections. Commissions: church in Normandy, France; triptych for the church of Cologny, Switzerland; eight oils and calligraphies for a private school in Cologny (1993).
