Antique Italian painting Saint Francis of Paola from the 17th century

COD 11552. Antique 17th-century Italian painting. Oil on canvas artwork depicting a religious subject, Saint Francis of Paola, of good pictorial quality. A small painting, suitable for antique dealers and collectors, of beautiful patina. The artwork shows signs of restoration and aging (see photo). The painting depicts the saint in contemplation with his recognizable symbols: the staff, the open book, and the word "Charitas" in the upper left corner (see photo). To enhance this small artwork, the painter has placed two cherubs above the head of Saint Francis (see photo). The painting has undergone some conservative restoration work over time, including the replacement of the stretcher and relining. Given its age, it is in fair condition with several signs of aging that add to its charm.
