Library grocery Napoleon 19th century

Antique glass-fronted grocery cabinet from the Napoleonic era, 19th century. We love its XL size, with a fairly deep lower section, consisting of two side storage compartments with doors, central drawers, and three horizontal display cases. The top features a very large display case with three doors opening onto three large storage levels. The shelves and lower display cases are painted black, providing a lovely contrast with the gilded wood. The four wide and deep drawers are topped with original floral cast iron shell handles. The two side storage compartments close with latches. There is a central black shelf (which does not extend to the back of the cabinet); there is no shelf at the bottom, which is original, but if you wish to add one, please let us know before departure. The three horizontal display cases have new glass. The three upper panes close with wooden knob handles with latches. Most of the glass is original bubbled glass, but two panes have been replaced in the past. Decorative cornice at the top. Original wood patina, so some imperfections may appear, signs of use, defects, nuances... Please refer to the numerous photos. The top of the cabinet separates from the bottom for transport. The back is now made of plywood in very good condition. - Total dimensions - W 167 X D 81 X H 245 cm.
