Large Italian library sculpted with figures

We are delighted to offer this lovely heavily carved Italian bookcase featuring a lion's head and putti. A very charming and finely crafted piece of antique Italian furniture. It is made of solid oak, with several drawers, doors, and shelves, making it quite utilitarian and suitable for almost any environment. The piece has been cleaned, waxed, and polished, with a beautiful patina and original wear acquired over 140+ years of use. An old treatment against woodworm has been renewed as a precaution. Dimensions: Total height 212.5 cm, width at the top 128 cm, depth at the top 50.5 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. Condition: wear consistent with age and use, slight discolouration.
