We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare fully restored Victorian Chesterfield office chair in brown leather, with a Pollard oak frame and original horsehair upholstery. This significant and sturdy chair has been completely restored, including stripping the leather back to its base colour, followed by six manual dye applications, aging, sealing, and waxing. The wood has been lightly cleaned and French polished. It is an investment piece ready to serve its new owner for decades. The Pollard oak is sublime and rare, justifying this costly treatment. Chair dimensions: Height: 86.5 cm, Width: 52 cm, Depth: 57 cm, Seat height: 45.5 cm. Measurements taken at the widest point. The condition is good with a refresh, wear consistent with age and use. We recommend annual waxing and avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to preserve the hand-dyed leather.
