George Smith leather office chair

We are delighted to offer for sale this superb Gainsborough buttoned armchair by George Smith in brown leather with a mahogany frame. It is a luxury occasional chair, very well designed, used as an office chair since new. The leather is a luxury aniline hand-dyed in this dark brown colour, and the frame has a mahogany finish. The chair is extremely comfortable, featuring a coil spring base and a suspended flexing backrest to absorb the recoil when you lean back. The item has been restored, including a wax clean and polish, with normal signs of use, but overall it is in very good condition. Dimensions: Height 109 cm, Width 60 cm, Depth 62 cm, Seat Height 49 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. This item shows the natural patina due to its age and use with creases and wear; an annual waxing is recommended. The hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods to avoid drying and discolouration.
