Vintage bentwood bistro chair – Custom seat (Year

Authentic vintage bistro chair in bent wood (Thonet/Baumann style), dating from the 1950s-60s. It features a beautiful bent solid wood structure, very stable, with its original reinforcements. The plywood seat has been customised by a previous owner who glued a vintage felted/ochre textile covering for comfort. This covering can be kept for its retro/kitsch appeal or removed/restored according to your preferences. Ideal for a makeover project, around a mismatched table or as a bedside chair. Condition. General condition: In its original state with a lovely patina of use. Details: The wood shows signs of age, particularly wear/scuffing on the top of the backrest (see photos). The original wooden seat is covered with a subsequently glued felt carpet. The structure remains perfectly solid and stable.
