Vase with handles vintage alpho art deco ceramic alphonse mouton vintage

Very pretty, pot-bellied vase with horn-shaped handles, made of blue and ochre flamed stoneware, high-fire firing technique. Unsigned piece but typical of the artist. Alphonse Mouton worked in Saint Vallier in the south-east of France from the 1930s to the 1980s. He used a series of recognizable glazes in colors ranging from dark blue, green, and beige. His early work is reminiscent of the Art Deco period. It is in perfect condition. Height: 12 cm - 3 1/2 inches. Width: 13 cm - 4 inches. Neck diameter: 7 cm - 2 inches. Weight: 500 grams.
