Large brass floor ashtray Erhard Swing Star (H 65 cm)

"When the gilded metal captures the light of yesteryear's salons to offer a moment of pure nostalgia." Let yourself be seduced by the majestic allure of this large 65 cm tall pedestal ashtray, with a striking golden brilliance. A true jewel of Hollywood Regency decor from the 1950s-1960s, it features a generously sculpted reservoir adorned with a frieze of cherubs and romantic scrolls, supported by an elegant fluted shaft and a perfectly stable base. Even though the silhouette of this object evokes the art of living from another era, let’s not forget the touch of modern wisdom: smoking seriously harms health... But nothing prevents one from succumbing to the charm of its design! This exceptional piece comes from the prestigious German house Erhard & Söhne, renowned for its centuries-old mastery of brass work. Equipped with its original rotary push-button mechanism, a simple press on the handle makes the disk spin to elegantly conceal the ashes. Total height: 65 cm (ideal next to an armchair or sofa) Authenticity: Stamped Erhard on the inner mechanism (Made in Germany) and Swing Star under the weighted cast iron base. In very good vintage condition, with shiny brass and a perfectly functional rotary mechanism. Whether you choose to use it for its primary function or simply as a vintage character sculpture in your interior, it will capture all eyes.
