Floor ashtray in gilded brass (frieze of fish)

Floor ashtray in gilded brass with a frieze depicting fish. The mechanism works perfectly: the tray sinks and turns (with surprising ease for its age!). The base and handle are made of stone (undetermined). Some signs of wear but overall the piece is in very good condition.
