We are pleased to offer for sale this significant William IV breakfront bookcase, unique in its kind, featuring a brass gallery at the top and fully adjustable height shelves. This piece dates from 1830, made for a library, with brass gallery rails on both side bookcases, the shelves adorned with large floral studs, the wood is flame mahogany, and the shelves are removable and fully height adjustable. This piece disassembles into three easy-to-transport sections. It has been thoroughly cleaned, waxed, and hand-polished, with age and use-related patina marks, a small piece of wood missing from the upper left side, and likely other minor losses, making this piece a very fine and luxurious piece of furniture that will appear costly and significant in any setting. Dimensions of the two outer bookcases: height 188.5 cm, width 91.5 cm, depth 36 cm. Dimensions of the central bookcase: height 107 cm, width 183.5 cm, depth 45.5 cm. Total built width: 356.5 cm.
