Small Walnut Library – Early 20th Century

This small walnut bookcase, dating from the early 20th century, is topped with an elegant moulded cornice and rests on a similarly moulded plinth, highlighting its architectural proportions. The upper part is adorned with a remarkable frieze of sculpted acanthus leaves, while the side posts are embellished with finely chiselled floral decorations. The interior features four adjustable shelves thanks to brackets, allowing for easy adaptation of the storage space to different sizes of books or objects. A piece that is both functional and decorative, characteristic of walnut furniture from the early 20th century, whose rich carving and the warmth of the wood's essence bring a lot of character.
