Large Victorian oak carved angular library

We are delighted to offer for sale this very large Victorian antique library circa 1840-1860 in hand-carved oak with ornate carvings of scholars. It is a very grand piece of English country house furniture. It is adorned with carvings all over the surface, featuring what appears to be a scholar resembling Shakespeare at the centre top. The shelves are all height-adjustable or removable, allowing you to adapt the library to your collection. It consists of two pieces for easier transport and installation. We have cleaned, waxed, and polished it from top to bottom. There will be signs of patina related to age and use here and there.
