Jules Leleu cherry wood cabinet with marquetry, 2 doors, bronze, 1940.

Magnificent two-door cabinet made by the workshops of Jules Leleu in the early 1940s. Fully embodying the refined style of the decorator, it combines simplicity of lines with the delicacy of materials. The front opens with two doors adorned with remarkable cherry wood marquetry in a diamond pattern, creating a subtle play of light and depth. The black-stained wooden base contrasts with the warmth of the body, while the gilded bronze feet highlight the elegance of the structure. Delicate chiselled gilded bronze handles, representing two ancient warriors, complete the façade, a decorative detail typical of Leleu's work, reinforcing the neoclassical character of this piece. A very fine example of French cabinetmaking, in superb condition, fully restored and revarnished in our workshop.
