Notice to discerning collectors and design history enthusiasts. Discover this authentic "Samurai" lounge chair, an iconic creation by the great French designer Joseph-André Motte for the prestigious Airborne manufacturer. This historic model was designed in 1961 to furnish the high-end waiting lounges of the brand new Orly airport in Paris. The original label from the publisher Airborne is perfectly preserved under the seat. A manifesto of the modernist movement, it features pure, geometric lines. The low seat and backrest form a perfect right angle, dressed in its original brown faux leather (skaï) upholstery with square tufting in 9 rectangles. It rests on its iconic suspended structure made of square-section chrome steel tubes, offering an absolutely lightweight architectural silhouette. (Note: a second identical lounge chair is also available separately, ideal for recreating a historic pair). 2 available, unit price. 📏 Dimensions: Height: 66 cm. Seat height: 35 cm. Width: 66 cm. Depth: 67 cm. Seat depth: 50 cm. Very good condition. In particular, on this piece: a small snag at the bottom of the front edge, 2 small black stains on the seat, the second lounge chair has 2 small brown stains on the seat.
