Sigurd Ressell for Vatne Mobler Leather Sofa Hardwood Art Deco

We are delighted to offer for sale this superb fully restored vintage five-piece set comprising a sofa, an armchair, and a coffee table by Sigurd Ressell (1920-2010) for Vatne Mobler, featuring redwood frames and hand-dyed brown leather cushions. These sofas and armchairs are extremely comfortable thanks to their Pirelli rubber strap bases. The frames are made of mid-century Brazilian redwood, a protected species. The cushions are lightly filled with fibres, removable, and the backs are fully padded on both sides, allowing them to be flipped if one side is damaged. The set has been completely restored: stripping of old colours, hand-dyeing six times, ageing, sealing, waxing, and polishing, preserving the original patina while reviving the colour. Dimensions are provided for each piece. Please note that the item is vintage, exhibiting natural patina including cracks, creases, and wear, and regular waxing and protection from prolonged sun exposure is recommended.
